NEW YORK, Dec. 7 (UPI) -- Larry Hughes scored 21 points for the New York Knicks, who jumped ahead in the second quarter Monday and went on to beat the Portland Trail Blazers 93-84.
David Lee pitched in with 17 points. Daniulo Gallinari and Wilson Chandler had 14 apiece for the Knicks.

An 18-4 spurt in the second sent the Knicks on their way to a third straight victory, their longest win streak this season.
New York connected on half of its 3-point attempts -- 13-of-26.
Brandon Roy led the Blazers with 27 points. LaMarcus Aldridge added 19.
