SUNRISE, Fla., Nov. 25 (UPI) -- P.A. Parenteau scored the only shootout goal Wednesday, handing the New York Rangers a 2-1 victory over Florida.
Parenteau was the second shooter in the second round and put a shot into the right side of the net against Tomas Vokoun.

New York then clinched the win when Henrik Lundqvist got a glove on a backhanded attempt by Stephen Weiss.
Marian Gaborik scored New York's regulation goal, his league-leading 19th this season. Dominic Moore tied it for Florida with 4:53 to play in the third.
Despite the loss, Florida earned a point for the 11th time in 13 games. Lundqvist made 25 saves and Vokoun stopped 27-of-28 shots.
