Brian Moehler (3-4) gave up three runs on six hits over six innings en route to the win. Jose Valverde struck out the side in the ninth in his second appearance since coming off the injured list.

Stephen Drew and Mark Reynolds homered for the Diamondbacks, but Billy Buckner (2-3) was hung with the loss after surrendering six runs on five hits in five-plus innings.

Buckner fell into a 3-0 hole in the first inning when Tejada doubled in Michael Bourn and Berkman hit a two-run homer to deep center field two batters later.

Arizona made it 3-2 in the bottom of the first on Drew's two-run shot, but the Astros scored a run in the third on Hunter Pence's home run.

After Reynolds made it 4-3 with his lead-off home run in the fourth, the Astros added a pair in the sixth on a bases-loaded sacrifice fly by Ivan Rodriguez and an RBI single by Jason Michaels.
