MLB: Texas 5, Oakland 4

ARLINGTON, Texas, April 29 (UPI) -- Nelson Cruz's RBI single in the eighth inning Tuesday pushed the Texas Rangers to a 5-4 win over the Oakland Athletics.

Cruz also drove in an other run earlier and Jarrod Saltalamacchia also had two RBI for Texas, which has won four of its last five.

Kevin Millwood (2-2) gave up four runs and 10 hits over eight innings to collect the win. Frank Francisco threw a hitless ninth for his six save.

Ryan Sweeney homered and scored three times for Oakland, which has lost six of its last eight.

A's starter Brett Anderson gave up three runs -- two earned -- over five innings. The loss went to Michael Wuertz (1-1).
