MLB: Arizona 7, Chicago Cubs 2

PHOENIX, April 28 (UPI) -- Dan Haren pitched a complete game three-hitter and smacked a two-run double Monday to lead the Arizona Diamondbacks past the Chicago Cubs 7-2.

Haren (2-3) served up home runs to Alfonso Soriano and Mike Fontenot, but struck out 10 and issued no walks.

Chris Young had two doubles and two RBI and Chris Snyder had a solo home run for the Diamondbacks, who put together their first two-game winning streak of the season.

Ted Lilly (2-2) went five innings, allowing five runs on six hits for the Cubs, who lost for the fifth time in their last six games.

Soriano's first-inning homer was his 52nd MLB career leadoff home run.
