NBA: Houston 131, Golden State 112

HOUSTON, Dec. 5 (UPI) -- Yao Ming poured in a season-best 33 points and grabbed 14 rebounds Friday, carrying the Houston Rockets to a 131-112 win over struggling Golden State.

The Rockets used a 43-point fourth quarter to hand the Warriors their eighth straight loss.

Ron Artest added 28 points in Houston's third win in four games. Rafer Alston and Von Wafer had 18 each.

The Rockets made 13-of-21 shots from three-point range with, Shane Battier hitting four of them.

Golden State was led by Stephen Jackson with 26 points and Corey Maggette with 23.
