MLB: Arizona 6, Colorado 2

DENVER, Aug. 14 (UPI) -- Dan Haren gave up two earned runs and seven hits in eight innings Thursday to key the Arizona Diamondbacks' 6-2 win over the Colorado Rockies.

Haren (13-6) walked two batters, fanned nine, and was the beneficiary of Arizona's five-run fifth.

In the fifth inning rally, Chris Snyder launched a two-run homer, Chris Burke hit a solo shot, and Adam Dunn hit a two-run single.

Chris Young had two hits and one RBI, while Haren and Stephen Drew also had two hits for the Diamondbacks, who had lost five of seven and had fallen out of first place in the NL West Division.

Colorado scored on Chris Ianetta's second inning double and Matt Holliday's eighth inning homer.

Ianetta and Willy Taveras had two hits each for the Rockies, who sank to 2-10 against the Diamondbacks this season.

Losing pitcher Glendon Rusch (5-4) yielded five earned runs and five hits in 4 2/3 innings.
