MLB: Minnesota 7, Milwaukee 6

MINNEAPOLIS, June 27 (UPI) -- Joe Mauer's eighth-inning solo homer created the game's fifth lead change Friday and gave the Minnesota Twins their 10th straight win, 7-6 over Milwaukee.

The Twins gave up more than three runs for the first time during the winning streak, but they rallied to stay within a half game of the first-place Chicago White Sox in the American League Central.

Alexi Casilla and Jason Kubel also hit solo homers for the Twins, who had a 3-2 advantage before the Brewers scored four times in the fifth on two-run homers by J.J. Hardy and Corey Hart.

Minnesota climbed back within a run in the bottom of the fifth on Kubel's sacrifice fly and an RBI single by Delmon Young. The Twins tied it in the seventh when Kubel scored on a single by Brian Buscher.

Guillermo Mota (2-5) came on as Milwaukee's third pitcher to start the eighth and got the first two batters on fly balls. But after fouling off five straight pitches, Mauer homered to center.

That made a winner out of Matt Guerrier, who worked the eighth. Joe Nathan allowed two singles in the ninth, but got Prince Fielder to ground out to first to end the game and earn his 22nd save.
