ATLANTA, May 22 (UPI) -- Tim Hudson worked eight innings and the Atlanta Braves rallied with a three-run seventh Thursday to defeat the New York Mets 4-2.

Hudson (7-3) gave up two home runs in the second inning, and then settled down while limiting the Mets to seven hits with four strikeouts.

Johan Santana (5-3), who had not lost in seven straight starts, saw that streak end when he gave up four runs on 12 hits over seven innings. His last previous setback had come April 12.

Carlos Beltran and Carlos Delgado gave the Mets a 2-0 lead with second-inning homers and New York still had a 2-1 advantage going into the seventh.

Kelly Johnson opened the inning against Santana with a double and moved to third on a sacrifice by Hudson. After a single by Omar Infante drove in Johnson to tie the game, Infante moved up on a wild pitch and advanced to third on Mark Kotsay's single.
