Indy 500 field completed

INDIANAPOLIS, May 18 (UPI) -- Marty Roth captured the final spot Sunday during qualifying for next weekend's 92nd running of the Indianapolis 500 at the Indianapolis Speedway.

The 33-car field for the race at the Brickyard next Sunday was set when Mario Dominguez slammed into the wall on the final qualifying attempt, giving Roth the last spot.

Roth's four-lap speed was 215.506 miles per hour in a Dallara Honda. Dominguez had run a better time than Roger Yasukawa, but was done in by his crash.

"This is Indy," Roth told The Indianapolis Star-Tribune. "Anything can happen."

Two weekends ago, Target Chip Ganassi driver Scott Dixon captured the pole with teammate Dan Wheldon joining him on the front row.

The pole victory was Dixon's first at Indianapolis, his third pole win this season and the 11th of his IndyCar career.

The winner in 2007 was Dario Franchitti.
