MLB: San Francisco 8, Philadelphia 2

SAN FRANCISCO, May 10 (UPI) -- Tim Lincecum spread two earned runs and four hits over eight innings Saturday to key San Francisco's 8-2 rout of Philadelphia.

The team's first-round draft pick in 2006 improved to 5-1 by walking one batter, striking out eight and throwing 74 of his 105 pitches for strikes.

At the plate, he helped his cause with an RBI single in the bottom of the second.

One of Jose Castillo's four hits for San Francisco was an RBI single in the sixth. Aaron Rowand had two runs and three hits, one a solo homer in the second. Randy Winn and Omar Vizquel also had three hits for the Giants, who snapped a five-game losing streak.

Philadelphia's runs scored on solo homers by Ryan Howard and Chris Coste in the second and eighth innings.

Geoff Jenkins and Greg Dobbs had the other hits for the Phillies, who fell to 3-3 on their seven-game West Coast road swing.

The losing pitcher was starter Jamie Moyer (2-3).
