Ochoa wins 4th straight tournament

ORLANDO, Fla., April 20 (UPI) -- World No. 1 Lorena Ochoa won the Ginn Open in Orlando, Fla., Sunday by three shots, her fifth victory of the season and record-tying fourth in a row.

Ochoa closed with a 3-under-par 69 for a 19-under 269.

The victory tied the LPGA Tour record for consecutive wins in scheduled events.

Yani Tseng of Taiwan placed second at 16-under 272 after a final-round 71. Norway's Suzann Pettersen and Teresa Lu of Taiwan shared third-place at 11-under 277.

"I'm just glad I hung in there and I was able to finish strong," Ochoa said. "I'm just trying to enjoy my moment. And I would like to enjoy it for a long time."

Three other players have won four consecutive tour events -- Mickey Wright (1962 and 1963), Kathy Whitworth (1969) and Annika Sorenstam (2001).
