INDIANAPOLIS, April 16 (UPI) -- Mike Dunleavy equaled a career-high Wednesday with 36 points that carried the Indiana Pacers past the hapless New York Knicks 132-123.
A 14-0 burst led to Indiana's 66-60 halftime advantage and New York trailed 132-118 with 1:22 left in what could have been the last game for Coach Isiah Thomas.
New York finished its season with a 23-59 record, good for last place in the Atlantic Division.
Dunleavy sank 12 of 19 shots from the floor, including six of eight three-pointers. Danny Granger scored 26 points, and Troy Murphy scored 19 with 12 rebounds.
David Harrison scored 13 and Andre Owens 12 for the Pacers, who swept the four-game series, but, like the Knicks, did not qualify for the playoffs.
Jamal Crawford led New York with 25 points in 20 minutes. Zach Randolph had 23 points and 15 rebounds, and Fred Jones scored 20 points.
