TORONTO, March 29 (UPI) -- Jiri Tlusty and Anton Stralman scored twice each Saturday to boost the Toronto Maple Leafs over the Montreal Canadiens 4-2.

Stralman's third goal this season (unassisted) at 9:33 of the second period broke a 1-1 tie and gave Toronto a lead it would not relinquish.

Nik Antropov had three assists and Vesa Toskala stopped 21 of 23 shots for the Maple Leafs, who ended a two-game skid but are out of the Eastern Conference playoff picture.

Veteran Toronto center Mats Sundin played just over 18 minutes and there was no word on his fate with the Maple Leafs.

Montreal got goals from Mathieu Dandenault in the second and Tom Kostopoulos in the third.

Jaroslav Halak was beaten four times on 37 shots for the Canadiens, who failed to clinch the Northeast Division title over Ottawa, which lost 4-0 at Boston earlier in the day.
