NBA: Atlanta 98, Orlando 90

ATLANTA, March 22 (UPI) -- Joe Johnson's 34 points and seven assists Saturday led the Atlanta Hawks to a 98-90 victory against Orlando.

Atlanta led by 14 early in the second period, but Johnson and Mike Bibby sank key three-pointers to ignite a 35-23 third quarter, giving Orlando a 67-63 advantage.

Johnson also had five assists and seven rebounds. Bibby scored 20 with six rebounds and eight assists.

Josh Smith had 19 points and nine rebounds and Al Horford added 11 points and 10 rebounds for the Hawks, who are battling New Jersey in the race for the final spot in the Eastern Conference playoff race.

Orlando got 18 points and three assists from Hedo Turkoglu. Jameer Nelson scored 16 with three assists.

Rashard Lewis had 14 points and seven rebounds while Dwight Howard added 11 points and 16 rebounds for the Magic, who have a nine-game lead over Washington atop the Southeast Division and have clinched a playoff berth.
