NBA: Boston 100, Philadelphia 86

PHILADELPHIA, March 10 (UPI) -- Kevin Garnett had 26 points and 12 rebounds Monday, powering the Boston Celtics to their ninth straight win, 100-86 over the Philadelphia 76ers.

Ray Allen added 21 points and Paul Pierce had 17 for the Celtics, who scored the game's first 15 points. Kendrick Perkins had seven points, 10 rebounds and six blocked shots for the Celtics, who earned their 50th win of the season for the first time since the 1991-92 campaign.

Andre Miller had 22 points, eight rebounds and five assists for the 76ers, who are seventh in the Eastern Conference, a game behind idle Washington. Andre Iguodala scored 17 points for Philadelphia, which had a four-game win streak broken.

The 76ers lost guard Willie Green in the final minute of the first quarter after he landed awkwardly following a layup.
