NBA: Detroit 116, Chicago 109

AUBURN HILLS, Mich., March 9 (UPI) -- Chauncey Billups, Richard Hamilton and Tayshaun Prince combined for 78 points Sunday, carrying the Detroit Pistons past the Chicago Bulls 116-109.

Billups led the way with 34 points, tying his best total of the season. Hamilton had 23 points and seven assists and Prince 21 points and six assists.

Detroit, which has won seven of its last nine games, beat the Bulls for the first time in four meetings this season.

Ben Gordon scored 27 points and Luol Deng 21 for Chicago.
