NHL: Calgary 3, Phoenix 1

GLENDALE, Ariz., March 2 (UPI) -- Jarome Iginla tied a franchise record when he scored two goals Saturday night to lead the Calgary Flames past Phoenix 3-1.

Iginla -- who has posted his third 40-goal season in the NHL -- has 364 career goals and is tied with Theo Fleury for the Flames' team record.

Iginla also had an assist. Rhett Warrener scored and Kristin Huselius had three assists for Calgary, which won for the first time in its last three games but has won five of its last seven.

The victory put the Flames in a tie with Minnesota for first place in the Northwest Division.

Miikka Kiprusoff stopped 16 shots for Calgary.

Shane Doan scored and Ilya Bryzgalov posted 25 saves for Phoenix, which has lost four of its last six games and has 71 points -- three points behind three teams tied for seventh in the Western Conference.
