NBA: Denver 107, Atlanta 100

DENVER, Jan. 24 (UPI) -- Allen Iverson scored 29 points Wednesday and Denver, playing without Carmelo Anthony, held off Atlanta 107-100.

Anthony missed his first game of the season with a sprained left ankle, suffered Monday night in a loss to the Los Angeles Lakers.

Linas Kleiza added 23 for the Nuggets and Marcus Camby had 13 points and 21 rebounds. Denver has won three out of four.

The Nuggets overcame a triple-double by Atlanta's Josh Smith, who scored 22 points and had 12 rebounds along with 10 assists.

After Atlanta Coach Mike Woodson picked up a technical foul with 5:27 to play, the Hawks went on a 10-4 run that got them within four. Anthony Carter then hit a layup and Kleiza had a tip-in to boost the Nuggets' advantage to 104-96 with 1:20 to play.
