NHL: Columbus 4, Dallas 2

DALLAS, Jan. 22 (UPI) -- Defenseman Kris Russell scored the first two goals of his NHL career Tuesday, lifting the Columbus Blue Jackets to a 4-2 victory over the Dallas Stars.

Andrew Murray and Rick Nash also scored for Columbus, and Nikolai Zherdev had three assists. Pascal Leclaire made 31 saves for the Blue Jackets, who have won five of their last seven games.

Brenden Morrow and Steve Ott each had a goal for Dallas, which had a three- game winning streak stopped. Dallas goalie Mike Smith stopped 26 of the 29 shots he faced.
