NHL: Los Angeles 5, Toronto 2

LOS ANGELES, Jan. 11 (UPI) -- Dustin Brown scored twice on the power play as part of a four-goal first period Thursday, igniting the Los Angeles kings to a 5-2 win over Toronto.

The Kings emphatically brought an end to a three-game losing streak, driving Andrew Raycroft from the game after he had given up four goals on 11 shots.

Kyle Calder opened the scoring just 2:44 into the contest and Brown made it 2-0 with 6:08 left in the period.

Alexander Frolov and Brown added goals in the final 2:30 of the first and Rob Blake produced another one for Los Angeles 6:41 into the second period against Vesa Toskala.

Nik Antropov finally got the Maple Leafs on the board with 4:52 to go in the second.

Jason LaBarbera made 46 saves for the Kings.
