NBA: Philadelphia 96, Miami 85

PHILADELPHIA, Dec. 26 (UPI) -- Andre Iguodala scored 28 points Wednesday when the Philadelphia 76ers held on to beat the Miami Heat, 96-85.

Philadelphia sprinted out to a 55-38 halftime lead and was able to keep Miami at bay long enough in the final 24 minutes.

Louis Williams and Kyle Korver scored 13 points apiece, and Andre Miller had 12 points, 12 assists and eight rebounds for the 76ers, who won for the seventh time in their last 10 games.

Miami was led by Dwayne Wade's 27 points and eight assists.

Ricky Davis scored 21, Daequan Cook 12, while three others scored at least eight points for the Heat, who got only five points with 10 rebounds from center Shaquille O'Neal in the first meeting between the teams this season.

The Heat, who have the NBA worst record (8-20) in the Eastern Conference, battled back from a 59-40 deficit early in the third period to make the final score respectable.
