MLB: Milwaukee 10, Cincinnati 5

CINCINNATI, Sept. 9 (UPI) -- Rickie Weeks, J.J. Hardy, and Ryan Braun hit back-to-back-to-back home runs Sunday to begin Milwaukee’s 10-5 rout of the Reds at Cincinnati.

It was only the third time in major league history a team hit three home runs in a row to begin a game.

Weeks later added a second solo homer and Braun blasted a two-run shot. Johnny Estrada hit a two-run homer and a sacrifice fly.

Hardy had three hits and two RBI, while three others had two hits for the Brewers, who won their second straight game.

The winning pitcher was starter Ben Sheets (12-4).

Cincinnati’s Edwin Encarnacion hit a three-run homer in the sixth. Ken Griffey Jr., hit a sacrifice fly, and one Cincinnati run scored on a fifth inning wild pitch. Joey Votto and Jeff Keppinger had two hits each for the Reds, who have lost 6 of 10.

The losing pitcher was starter Phil Dumatrait (0-4).
