Jones singled in a run in the first, doubled home two more in the second and then singled in another run in the third. Matt Murton opened the Cubs' five-run third with a homer and Jones finished it off with his RBI as Chicago took a 9-1 lead.
Ted Lilly (13-5) lasted six innings while giving up two runs on five hits to get the win.
