MLB: LA Angels 13, Detroit 4

ANAHEIM, Calif., July 29 (UPI) -- Chone Figgins has three hits, one RBI and three runs scored Sunday evening, as the Los Angeles Angels beat Detroit, 13-4.

Gary Matthews Jr. had three RBI, and Garret Anderson and Casey Kotchman each drove in two for the Angels, who have won four straight.

Dustin Moseley started got LA, giving up four runs on five hits in 4 2/3 innings. Chris Bootcheck (3-2) pitched 2 1/3 scoreless innings in relief to get the victory.

Craig Monroe drove in two runs and Ivan Rodriguez and Brandon Inge each had an RBI for the Tigers, who have lost four straight and six out of seven.

Jeremy Bonderman (10-3) lasted just 2 1/3 innings, serving up 11 runs -- 10 earned -- on nine hits, with three walks and four strikeouts.

The Angels scored four in the first inning, highlighted by Matthews' two-run triple and an RBI double by Maicer Izturis.

Bonderman threw two wild pitches in the second, each of which allowed a run to score. His throwing error in the third, on a bunt by Reggie Willits, allowed Izturis to score and opened the floodgates for a six-run Angels' outburst.
