Graeme Storm wins French Open

PARIS, July 1 (UPI) -- Graeme Storm shot 5-under-par 66 Sunday to win the European Tour's French Open Golf Tournament in Paris.

Storm began the round tied for eighth place, but overtook third-round co-leader Soren Hansen by playing bogey-free. He made five birdies. The ones he made at the 13th and 14th holes were critical in maintaining his early momentum.

Storm's final total was 7-under 277.

"It's an amazing feeling," Storm said after his first title on the European Tour. "I've been putting too much pressure on myself thinking 'when is it going to happen.' Hopefully, I can go on to better things."

Hansen shot 1-over 72 to finish 6-under 278.

Thomas Bjorn (69), Colin Montgomerie (70), second-round front-runner Simon Khan (72) and Damien McGrane (65) all tied for third at 5-under 279.

Bjorn saw his chances fade with a bogey at the 17th.
