MLB: Boston 4, Arizona 3 (10 inn.)

PHOENIX, June 10 (UPI) -- Mike Lowell drove in the winning run with a pinch-hit 10th-inning sacrifice fly Saturday night, as the Boston Red Sox beat Arizona, 4-3.

The Red Sox loaded the bases in the 10th when David Ortiz walked, and both Kevin Youkilis and J.D. Drew singled. Juan Cruz (2-1) struck out Jason Varitek, but Lowell got Ortiz home with a sacrifice fly to right.

Jonathan Papelbon pitched the bottom of the 10th, and allowed two base runners before shutting down the Diamondbacks for his 14th save.

Varitek had a homer and three RBI, and Drew had three hits and two runs for the Red Sox, who won their third straight following a four-game losing streak.

Hideki Okajima (2-0) got the win, pitching a scoreless eighth and ninth in relief.

Boston starter Julian Tavarez allowed six hits and three runs, with five strikeouts and one walk in six innings.

Diamondbacks starter Micah Owings gave up seven hits and two runs in six innings.

Stephen Drew had a two-run homer and Miguel Montero had an RBI double in Arizona's third straight loss.
