MLB: Detroit 9, Cleveland 5

CLEVELAND, June 2 (UPI) -- Magglio Ordonez was 4-for-6 with a two-run homer, a double and three runs Saturday night as the Detroit Tigers out-slugged the Cleveland Indians, 9-5.

Winner Chad Durbin (5-1) struggled through 5 1/3 innings, allowing eight hits and five runs with three walks.

Ivan Rodriguez was 4-for-5 with three RBI and one run for the Tigers, who had lost seven of eight entering the game.

Detroit had 16 hits in the victory.

Loser Cliff Lee (2-3) allowed eight hits and five runs in only 4 1/3 innings for the Indians, who had a three-game winning streak end.

Grady Sizemore was 4-for-5 with a homer and three runs scored for Cleveland, and Casey Blake also homered for the Indians.
