MLB: Kansas City 10, Colorado 5 (12)

DENVER, May 20 (UPI) -- Winner Joel Peralta hit a two-run double in the 12th inning Sunday and Kansas City went on to beat Colorado 10-5.

Mark Teahen scored a run and drove in three, Ryan Shealy scored once and hit two RBI, Emil Brown hit a two-run single and Angel Berroa knocked in one run for the Royals, who have won four of their last five games.

Peralta (1-2) surrendered one hit in two scoreless relief innings after Joakim Soria blew a save chance for the third time this season.

Troy Tulowitzki hit a two-run double, Matt Holliday had two hits and one RBI, a run scored on Brown's fielding error, Omar Quintanilla doubled in a run, and Todd Helton had two hits for the Rockies, who lost twice in the three-game series.

The losing pitcher was Ramon Ramirez (1-1). He was the victim of Kansas City's five-run 12th inning.
