Berdych wins again at the BMW Open

MUNICH, Germany, May 4 (UPI) -- Second-seeded Tomas Berdych of the Czech Republic Friday beat Nicolas Devilder 6-4, 6-0, in the quarterfinals of the BMW Open Tennis Tournament in Munich.

"From the beginning, he served well and that's why it was close," Berdych said. "It was 4-4 and then I made my first break. Things started going my way after that."

In Saturday's semis, Berdych will face No. 3 Mikhail Youzhny of Russia.

Youzhny topped eighth-seeded Jurgen Melzer of Austria, 6-2, 7-6 (7-5) to record his 200th ATP career victory.

Also, German Philipp Kohlschreiber ousted Sebastien Grosjean of France, 6-4, 7-6 (7-5), and fourth-seeded Marcos Baghdatis of Cyprus beat wild card Alexander Waske of Germany, 2-6, 7-6 (7-5), 6-4.

In Saturday's other semifinal, Kohlschreiber faces Baghdatis.
