MLB: Houston 6, Milwaukee 5

MILWAUKEE, April 21 (UPI) -- Craig Biggio hit a grand slam in the top of the ninth Friday night as the Houston Astros beat the Milwaukee Brewers, 6-5.

Lance Berkman and Brad Ausmus had one RBI each, and both Ausmus and Chris Burke had two hits for the Astros, who have won five in a row and lead the NL Central Division.

The winner was Rick White (1-0).

Chad Qualls recorded his first save of the season.

Prince Fielder hit a three-run homer off former Houston closer Brad Lidge in the bottom of the eighth. J.J. Hardy hit a solo homer, Bill Hall hit an RBI single, while Hardy and Johnny Estrada had two hits apiece for the Brewers, who have split their last four games.

The losing pitcher was Matt Wise (0-1).
