NBA: Minnesota 99, New York 94

NEW YORK, April 7 (UPI) -- Randy Foye sank 5 of 6 three-pointers Friday night to help Minnesota beat the New York Knicks, 99-94.

He led Minnesota with 19 points and six assists.

Ricky Davis scored 17 points; Craig Smith had 15 points, six rebounds, and three assists; and Kevin Garnett added 12 points and 15 rebounds for the Timberwolves, who drew within 5 1/2 games of the idle Los Angeles Clippers for the final spot in the Western Conference.

They won the contest despite blowing a 59-41 halftime advantage.

Nate Robinson led New York with 21 points and four rebounds.

Eddy Curry had 20 and six rebounds; Mardy Collins scored a career-high 16 points; while Channing Frye had 11 points and seven rebounds for the Knicks, who have dropped four straight and eight of nine to fall three games behind idle Orlando for the final playoff spot in the East.
