SALT LAKE CITY, April 7 (UPI) -- Carlos Ruiz scored the tying goal Saturday, getting his new FC Dallas Coach Steve Morrow a 2-2 draw with Real Salt Lake in the season opener for both teams.

FC Dallas's Kenny Cooper also found the back of the net.

Real Salt Lake's Jeff Cunningham, who was last year's leading goal scorer, picked up both goals for the team.

FC Dallas committed 17 fouls during the first of three meetings between the two teams this season.
