NBA: Chicago 106, Detroit 88

AUBURN HILLS, Mich., April 4 (UPI) -- Kirk Hinrich had 29 points and eight assists Wednesday night to lead Chicago over the Detroit Pistons, 106-88.

After a 53-52 deficit, Chicago used a 32-16 third quarter to turn the contest into a laugher, and also won the fourth quarter by a 22-19 count.

Luol Deng had 22 points and nine rebounds; Tyrus Thomas had 13 points and eight rebounds; while Thabo Sefolosha and P.J. Brown both scored 11 points for the Bulls, who are fifth in the Eastern Conference playoff race with four wins in their last five games.

Chauncey Billups scored 17 points to lead Detroit.

Rasheed Wallace had 16 points and three rebounds; and Chris Webber had 10 points and eight rebounds for the Pistons, who had a three-game winning streak snapped, and are still in the hunt for the top playoff seed in the East.
