PALM COAST, Fla., March 30 (UPI) -- Brad Bryant and Keith Fergus share the lead after Friday's first round of the Champions Tour's inaugural Ginn Championship at Palm Coast, Fla.
Bryant and Fergus shot 5-under-par 67 Friday.
"I drove (the ball) well today, which I haven't done this year," Fergus said. "I made some good putts. It was a nice, solid round of golf."
"I played pretty good today," Bryant said. "My stats are misleading. I actually hit the ball a little better than my stats were (but) I kept the ball near the greens and only hit one shot off-line all day."
Raymond Floyd, Des Smyth, R.W. Eaks and Joe Ozaki are tied for third at 4-under 66.
Champions Tour all-time wins leader Hale Irwin (69) is tied for seventh at 3-under 69 with Ben Crenshaw, James Mason, Gil Morgan, Morris Hatalsky, Mark O'Meara, Tom Purtzer and Craig Stadler.
