COL BKB: Georgetown 96, North Car. 84 (OT)

EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J., March 25 (UPI) -- DaJuan Summers scored six points in overtime Sunday as Georgetown rallied to defeat North Carolina, 96-84, and earn a berth in the Final Four.

Georgetown came back from an 11-point deficit in the game's late stages as North Carolina missed nine of its last 10 shots from the field in regulation.

The Tar Heels then missed their first 12 field goal tries in overtime and did not score in the extra period until Ty Lawson hit a three-pointer with eight seconds remaining.

Jonathan Wallace completed Georgetown's comeback by tying the game with 35 seconds left in the second half on a three-pointer. North Carolina's Wayne Ellington missed a three-pointer with three seconds to go.

Georgetown will play Ohio State next Saturday in the national semifinals. It marks the first time in NCAA history a father and son have coached Final Four teams.

John Thompson III will lead the Hoyas into this year's Final Four 22 seasons after his father took Georgetown onto college basketball's biggest stage.

Summers led Georgetown with 20 points and Wallace had 19. North Carolina was led by Tyler Hansbrough with 26.
