NBA: Utah 96, New Orleans 86

SALT LAKE CITY, March 11 (UPI) -- Mehmet Okur had 29 points and five rebounds Saturday night as Utah beat the New Orleans Hornets, 96-86.

The Hornets held a 25-19 advantage at the end of the first quarter, but Utah trailed by only 47-45 at the break.

Utah took a 73-63 lead into the fourth quarter, by out-scoring the Hornets, 28-16, in the third.

Carlos Boozer had 20 points and 13 rebounds; Gordon Giricek had 16 points and six rebounds; while Deron Williams added 10 points and 13 assists for the Jazz, who have a six-game winning streak.

Jannero Pargo led New Orleans with 15 points and four assists.

David West had 13 points and 10 rebounds; Chris Paul had 12 points and 11 assists; and Tyson Chandler had 12 points and six rebounds for the Hornets, who have dropped their last five games.
