NHL: Atlanta 4, Ottawa 2

ATLANTA, March 2 (UPI) -- Two goals by Eric Belanger and a three-goal third period Friday night gave the Atlanta Thrashers their first win on home ice in six tries, 4-2, over Ottawa.

The other Atlanta goals came from Slav Kozlov and Pascal Dupuis, as the Thrashers handed the Senators their first loss in 10 games.

Ottawa held a 2-1 lead when Belanger scored his second goal 3:41 into the third period. The Thrashers went in front with 10:56 remaining on a wrist shot by Kozlov.

Dany Heatley scored twice on the power play for Ottawa, and has nine goals and eight assists in his last 10 games.
