NHL: Florida 5, Tampa Bay 4 (OT)

SUNRISE, Fla., Feb. 17 (UPI) -- Nathan Horton scored the game-winning goal in overtime Saturday night to give the Florida Panthers to a 5-4 win over Tampa Bay.

The contest was tied, 4-4, after regulation on a goal by Ville Peltonen at 11:28 of the third period.

The Lightning had scored three times in the first period for a 3-2 lead.

Steven Weiss had a goal and two assists, Ruslan Salei and Bryan Allen scored, Martin Gelinas had two assists, and Ed Belfour stopped 16 of 20 shots for his 473rd career victory for the Panthers, who have won three of their last four games.

Martin St. Louis scored two goals, Eric Perrin scored once, Dan Boyle had a goal and an assist, Vaclav Prospal and Vincent Lecavalier both had two assists, and Johan Holmqvist made 25 saves on 30 shots for the Lightning, who had a three-game winning streak snapped.

Florida scored two power-play goals, and Tampa Bay had one.
