NBA: Memphis 110, Toronto 104

MEMPHIS, Dec. 30 (UPI) -- Mike Miller led Memphis with 27 points and four rebounds as the Grizzlies broke a five-game losing streak Saturday night, beating Toronto, 110-104.

The win came in the debut of interim coach Tony Barone, who replaced the fired Mike Fratello Wednesday.

Pao Gasol had 22 points, 11 rebounds and four assists; Chucky Atkins had 16 points and nine assists; while Stromile Swift added 15 points and 14 rebounds for the Grizzlies.

They sprinted out to a 39-18 lead after the first quarter, and led, 64-50, at the half.

Morris Peterson totaled 19 points, five rebounds, two assists and two steals to lead Toronto. Jorge Garbajosa had 15 points, five rebounds and four steals. Rasho Nesterovic and Jose Calderon scored 13 points apiece, while Anthony Parker had 12 points and six assists for the Raptors, who have dropped three of their last four games.
