VANCOUVER, British Columbia, Nov. 18 (UPI) -- Markus Naslund had a pair of goals to lead the Vancouver Canucks past the visiting St. Louis Blues, 4-2, at General Motors Place.
Roberto Luongo stopped 19-of-21 shots in the victory.
Doug Weight notched his first goal of the season and added an assist for the Blues, who have dropped three straight. Keith Tkachuk also tallied a score while Jason Bacashihua stopped 40 shots in the losing effort.
Two first period goals were overshadowed by a fight between Tkachuk and Kesler. Tkachuk then disappeared into the Blues' dressing room, but returned five minutes later.
Weight beat Luongo on a backhand shot from the top of the crease at the 8:57 mark, the Canucks evened the score at 5:11 and Naslund racked up two goals in the second frame giving Vancouver a 3-1 lead.
Both teams had goals waved off in the third period before St. Louis pulled within one on a power play tally. Weight dropped a pass from the point that Tkachuk tipped in to make it 3-2 game with 7:26 remaining.
Kessler's backhand shot slipped up and under Bacashihua with 1:01 left on the clock to seal the victory.
