COL FB: Texas 28, Oklahoma 10

DALLAS, Oct. 7 (UPI) -- Colt McCoy passed for 107 yards and two touchdowns Saturday as No. 7 Texas beat 13th-ranked Oklahoma, 28-10.

The red-shirt freshman was playing in his first Red River Rivalry at the Cotton Bowl in Dallas.

Limas Sweed and Jordan Shipley caught scoring passes, Selvin Young ran for 60 yards and a touchdown on 11 carries and Jamaal Charles gained 65 yards for the Longhorns (5-1, 2-0 Big 12), who have won four games in a row since a 24-7 loss to top-ranked Ohio State Sep. 9.

The defending national champions ran their winning streak to 17 straight against Big 12 opponents.

Adrian Peterson rushed for a touchdown and 109 yards on 25 carries, Paul Thompson went 15-of-27 for 209 yards and two interceptions and Juaquin Iglesias made five receptions for 69 yards for the Sooners (3-2, 0-1 Big 12), who have lost two of their last three games.
