MLB: Kansas City 6, Cleveland 2

CLEVELAND, Sept. 13 (UPI) -- Emil Brown and Joey Gathright both drove in two runs Wednesday night as Kansas City beat the Cleveland Indians, 6-2.

Brown hit a two-run homer; Gathright hit an RBI single and a run-scoring fielder's choice ground out and had two hits; and Ryan Shealy and Estaban German each had one RBI for the Royals (56-90), who have won four of their last five games.

In five innings, winner Jorge De La Rosa (3-2) surrendered two runs and four hits with three walks and three strikeouts.

Grady Sizemore hit a solo home run; and Casey Blake hit a sacrifice fly for the Indians (68-76), who suffered the seventh loss in their last 10 games.

Losing pitcher Jake Westbrook (12-10) allowed four runs and 11 hits in six innings with one walk and three strikeouts.
