NFL: Cincinnati 23, Kansas City 10

KANSAS CITY, Mo., Sept. 10 (UPI) -- Rudi Johnson rushed for 96 yards and a touchdown Sunday afternoon as Cincinnati beat the Kansas City Chiefs, 23-10.

The contest was marred by a serious injury suffered by Chiefs quarterback Trent Green. He was carried off the field on a stretcher with an apparent head or neck injury late in the third quarter, after Bengals defensive end Robert Geathers slammed into him during a slide after he was flushed out of the pocket on a pass play.
