MLB: N.Y. Yankees 3, Baltimore 2

BALTIMORE, Sept. 9 (UPI) -- Melky Cabrera, Johnny Damon and Derek Jeter all had one RBI Saturday as the New York Yankees edged Baltimore, 3-2.

Damon's RBI single in the top of the fifth opened the scoring; Cabrera hit a sacrifice fly in the same inning; Jeter hit an RBI single in the eighth; while he and Damon both had two hits for the Yankees (84-56), who have split their last four games.

In 7 1/3 innings, winner Chien-Mien Wang (17-5) scattered a run and eight hits with no walks and one strikeout.

Kyle Farnsworth recorded his third save.

Brian Fahey hit an RBI single; Kevin Millar hit a solo home run; while he and Nick Markakis each had two hits for the Orioles (62-79), who have dropped three of their last four games.

Losing pitcher Adam Loewen (5-5) allowed two runs and six hits in seven innings with two walks and six strikeouts.
