KANSAS CITY, Mo., Sept. 2 (UPI) -- Joe Crede had two hits and two RBI Saturday night as the Chicago White Sox beat Kansas City, 5-3.
Sandy Alomar Jr. hit a sacrifice fly; Tadahito Iguchi had two hits, including an RBI double; and Ross Gload had two hits, including an RBI single, for the White Sox (79-56), who have won six of their last 10 games.
Winner Mark Buehrle (12-11) yielded three runs and nine hits in six innings with one walk and three strikeouts.
Bobby Jenks recorded his 39th save.
Mike Sweeney hit an RBI single; Ryan Shealy hit an RBI double; Emil Brown had two hits and one RBI; Sweeney had three hits; while both Mark Teahen and Mark Grudzielanek each had a run and two hits for the Royals (50-87), who have dropped six of their last 10 games.
Loser Odalis Perez (1-3) gave up five runs and 11 hits in seven innings with one walk and six strikeouts.
