MLB: Minnesota 10, Milwaukee 7

MINNEAPOLIS, July 1 (UPI) -- The Minnesota Twins scored four runs in the bottom of the eighth inning Saturday night and beat Milwaukee, 10-7, for their ninth consecutive win.

Michael Cuddyer had two doubles, one triple and two RBI; Jason Kubel had four hits and three RBI; Justin Morneau hit a sacrifice fly; Torii Hunter had two runs, one hit and one RBI; while Shannon Stewart had one run, four hits and one RBI for the Twins (44-35), who have won 17 of their last 18 games.

In relief, the winning pitcher was Juan Rincon (3-0).

Joe Nathan earned his 14th save.

Carlos Lee had one run, three hits and one RBI; Geoff Jenkins had two runs and three hits; and Damian Miller had two hits and one RBI for the Brewers (40-42), who have dropped three of their last four games.

The loser was closer Derrick Turnbow (4-4), who gave up the winning runs.
