MLB: Boston 9, N.Y. Mets 4

BOSTON, June 27 (UPI) -- Manny Ramirez, Jason Varitek and Alex Gonzalez each had two RBIs Tuesday as the Boston Red Sox won their 10th straight with a 9-4 win over the New York Mets.

Gonzalez had a two-run homer and Mike Lowell also homered for Boston, which is riding its longest winning streak since also taking 10 straight Aug. 24-Sept. 3, 2004. Mark Loretta added two hits and an RBI for the Red Sox, who are 12-1 against the National League this season.

Jon Lester (3-0) won his third straight. The left-hander pitched out of a pair of bases-loaded jams.

Carlos Delgado, Carlos Beltran and Eli Marrero all homered for the Mets.
