Edwards wins Busch 300 in Nashville

LEBANON, Tenn., June 10 (UPI) -- Carl Edwards won Saturday night's Federated Auto Parts 300 at the Nashville Superspeedway, finishing 0.920 seconds ahead of Clint Bowyer.

The victory was Edwards' second of the season and seventh of his Busch career.

Todd Kluever won his first career Busch pole. The starting grid consisted of seven Nextel Cup drivers who are also racing at Pocono on Sunday.

Kluever led the field until lap 18, then yielded the lead to Ashton Lewis Jr.

Edwards started to take control as he steadily pulled away from the field. At one point, he expanded his lead to over two seconds.

After Denny Hamlin passed Bowyer for second he set his sights on the leader.

Kevin Harvick, Hamlin and Paul Menard completed the top-five.
