NBA: Dallas 105, Phoenix 98

DALLAS, May 26 (UPI) -- Dirk Nowitzki scored 30 points Friday night as Dallas beat Phoenix, 105-98, in Game Two of the NBA's Western Conference Finals.

Josh Howard had 29 points, seven rebounds and blocked two shots; Jason Terry had 18 points, four rebounds and four assists; while Nowitzki also had 14 rebounds and six assists for the Mavericks, who evened the best-of-seven series at a game apiece.

Boris Diaw had 25 points, 10 rebounds and six assists; Tim Thomas scored 20 points; Shaun Marion totaled 19 points, 19 rebounds, two assists and three steals; while Steve Nash added 16 points and 11 assists for the Suns, who will host Game Three on Sunday.

The Suns played without guard Raja Bell, who hurt his left calf in the series opener.
